Ongota video documentary

Ongota is a dying language spoken by 12 people in Southwest Ethiopia. I have worked on the documentation of this language thanks to a project funded by the “Hans Rausing Endangered Languages Documentation Programme”.

The Ongota video documentary is an ongoing project that I am conducting with Robert Weijs, a Dutch film maker and anthropologist.

The trailer you can watch clicking on the link to the right is the result of a first shooting mission. We are presently looking for funds to finalise the project and distribute the documentary to the wider public.
